Coaster Brake Challenge. Anyone feel like pedaling?

There's 4 races, every Sunday in july, on fire roads, trails, etc.

Only rules are single speed, coaster brake only bicycles. No gears, no other brakes. (and obviously, no motors... :) )

First one is in porter ranch,ca. On july 5th.

I'm going.

Races are put on january and july by atomic cycles in the van nuys area

A guy named kurt that attends the long beach swap built a bike for those races thats really trick. Built a cooling fin adapter for the hub, special grease and crazy light weight...

I'm rocking a 48 schwinn dx frame with all old school bmx cruiser parts. And a big ass durex coaster brake made in Germany in the 50's. Been riding it every day. Put 30 miles on it today, cruised to the beach and back.

Dunno how I'm gonna do on a dirt course, but it sounds like fun...
