clutch lever

I have a long clutch lever it locks but it really is a real pain it the***. So it releases on it's own, it locks but come unlocked with a slight vibration. So any idea's how to fix it.

I prefer the lock with a seperate lever rather than the push pin types. The pins have a bad habit of popping completely out when the snap ring fails. The lever type is much more reliable. I tried modding the pin lever but could never get it to stay together.
You might do better, but the lever type is much more durable and you can get one under $10 bucks.
