for one u have the petcock on so thas why its coming out of both ends if u are not getting spark check your wire conections or it could be also that u flooded the carb so u are going to have to let dry for a day or so what part of arizona are u from
Sounds like debris keeping the needle from closing, if gas is running out of the carb and exhaust you may have fouled the spark plug. Any way check the needle for debris, if nothing is found check the float it may be full of fuel.
