I recently mix a new batch of gas at 18:1 do you think this could cause a loss of power. When I hit the trottle the engine boogs a bit and take a long time to get up to speed, PLEASE help!

Engines need 3 things to run properly; Spark, Gas and Compression. It sounds like you are having a compression issue (bogging down) which can come from a blown gasket. My suggestion is to take some water in a spray bottle and with your engine started, spray each gasket. If your engine revs, you've found an air leak and should replace your gasket accordingly. Hope this helps!

You would be better off at 32 to 1 fuel mix. Your mix will allow the engine to fowl out the spark plug.
You should read the info about tuning the carb. Find out where your carb is set in jet size and where the clip is on the needle, write down the readings, then if you decide the change things do one change at a time , run the engine and see if it got better or worse.

Just look through all the stickies on tuning.
