moon with solid rear axle you would never turn it on pavement
and most likely break spokes
i have had a trike before that i welded the 2 axle halfs together, you can turn, its just requires a bit more force, it may not work out too well with a 6 1/2 in wide rim and tire. you could give the tire a smaller contact patch by stretch fitting a tire like i did on my corolla. 185/65r14s on 6 1/5 inch wide celica supra rims. the rolla also had a welded diff. chirped the tires while turning, but turned just fine. and since the hub flanges and rim are custom made, why use bike spokes, when you could just drill out large holes and use stronger motorcycle spokes?
