Yes, my video specialist for the expedition is the one that told me about it. Is it the guy that would invite people he met along the way to travel on his bike for different legs of the trip?

Yep, that's the one. If I didn't have a wife and little girl I would do something similar but in my jeep. I love to travel overland.

Good luck...

I'm trying to get my major adventuring out of the way before I start a family. We are really excited about this trip! It's generated a lot of publicity already and we haven't even finished the expedition bikes yet. Pretty cool.

My wife and I met in high school and did a lot of traveling together before we had our baby. Unfortunately I didnt get into backpacking until after college, so I didn't get to see everything I wanted before I had a kid...

But to be honest, I woulnt trade any of it for my baby. Don't worry about getting everything in before you have a kid... If you do it right they will be your best traveling companions.

Right on vtec, I do look forward to traveling with my family one day. Guess I should have said I want to get the really dangerous ones out of the way. I'm planning an unsupported kayak expedition down the length of the Amazon in a couple of years as well as an unsupported North Pole attempt.

Probably wait until I have a family to circumnavigate the globe. Sounds like a fun one for "retirement"!
Hopefully I'll have a cool wife that likes to travel as well
