I just replaced the centrifugal clutch on my Mitsubishi TLE friction drive......wow-what a difference.

The old clutch was wore the whole way down to the backing plate and was probably a couple days away from steel to steel contact inside the bellhousing.

I replaced the stock clutch with a unit that has a different internal spring so I get lower RPM's before the clutch "grabs" ....picked up about 5 mph in top speed too :)

Gotta thank David Staton for the parts...ordered on a Monday and had my stuff by Thursday...good stuff!

Yup, he ain't the cheapest guy out there selling motorized bike parts, *but* you get what you pay for.

My Mitsubishi TLE 43 (purchased as part of a friction drive kit from David) is 3 years old and still runs like it's brand new and it's probably got close to 5000 miles on it.

I get 30 mph and over 100 mpg.....cheap fun if you ask me:)
