Is the clutch the same thing as the throttle?

Bought a standard gas engine kit for bike...one question

I see mentions of a clutch which, to my understanding, is used to engage and disengage the gear, however i see no mention of a throttle, nor a means to shift gears.

Can someone please clear up this confusion?

Thank you very much

The throttle controls the carburetor, in fact how much air flows through the carburetor.
The Clutch engages or dis-engages the engine from the transmission, and thusly the drive sprocket.
There are no gears to shift. The transmission is one speed.

You are first gear and you don't have to do much at all. Get it up to about 10 miles an hour and the motor takes over.
