if i may make a helpful suggestion....
my cop bike's springer bolt flew out of the assembly as i was tooling down the road, causing quite the wobbly side-to-side action.
i remedied this by gooping some jb-weld at the very end of the bolt (shown in blue).
i loosened that bolt until it a couple threads cleared the backside. that way i get the most suspension from it. if you tighten the crap out of the main bolt, it'll compress the spring and be as stiff of a ride as though it wasnt there. defeating the purpose.

Here's what I did with the springer- blue loctite on the pivot bolt and the small bolts holding the top of the arms to the saddle.

For the big center bolt, I screwed the bolt in far enough to put a jam nut on the other side of the plate- it's not tpp tight, but it kicks the front end out nicely. I used blue loctite on that too and tightened the jam nut on there tight. I have never had to tighten any of them since- almost 2 years on that setup.
