I think the 250 Nighthawk used a drum brake. If so, you could probably use a drum brake wheel from almost any 1970s honda between 90 and 450 cc.
If you do have disk brakes on your Nighthawk, you can use the same brake parts as a Rebel.

thanks wheelbender, funny thing is its a combination of both, drum rear, disk front, also do you know if battery of a rebel will do, I have bike running but need new battery to use electric start as a pole snapped in half on current one, wire held on with self tapper into the pole.

The brake, is it completely shot or just stuck? My brother has a 1987 suzuki 450, and his was stuck, he took it apart and cleaned it and it works fine now. He used brake cleaner. Just a suggestion, might work.

Parts should interchange between 250cc rebels and nighthawks except for the frame and tins like the tank and fenders.
There are some Honda Rebel forums where the members could give you a lot more specific info. Just google honda 250 rebel forum.
In the states, the 250 nighthawk came standard with a front drum and the 250 rebel with a front disc. The nighthawk would have sold better here if it had a front disc.
