Hello, my first post dance1 . I am making an a motorized Aurora delta bicycle from an atomic zombie plan.
I have a http://www.bicycle-engines.com/49cc-4G-T-Belt-Drive-Complete-Gas-Powered-Engine-Kit.html. I have ordered a http://www.amazon.com/SRAM-PG-1070-...d=1436411204&sr=1-2&keywords=cassette+shimano to go on an axle with a 20" rim. I am open to better cassette options as I am very green. (First motorized bike.)
I would like to source parts for a freewheel 3 sprocket jack shaft that will go behind the seat (nowhere near petals). From what I have read on some old posts here, (over a couple years old) a good place to get them from is staton.
This video should give the best idea of what I would like if I seem to be a bit vague https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U10xLqTekOw. This guy almost inspired me to go tadpole, but in the end I decided on delta (just my flavor of ice cream I guess.)
I have checked some online calculators on gear reduction and the only thing that happened while visiting them was listening to my own brain fart.
If someone could slap out some links on what sprockets will get me to 35mph with what I have in mind that would be wonderful of you. Or point me to an easy to use calculator that won't make my soul shrivel.
Sorry for the long post.
