here she is , a 1961 amf saturn , girls bike
with a saris bike beam , whizzer tank & an older 58cc engine
this was a winter build & to use up some parts . hope you enjoy

That is a lovely build. I'll bet the girls love it and most would feel privileged to ride it. Those baskets would make a light grocery run lots of fun for the ladies. And if the girls don't ride it, you could fit a couple of six packs.

I refer to girl's bikes as "step through" frames. Once you put an engine in the frame it pretty well de feminizes a bike, I've found. On vintage bikes usually the girl's survivors are in better shape (less beat up) than boy's bikes. Nice job on this one.

I have thought about using a Saris bike beam on a step thru bike, since they normally sell much cheaper on CL and are in better condition. I'm glad it works.

I've loved it since the first time he showed it to me. Its gorgeous. Plus it can run forever with that tank.
