It's a board track, Joe. A BOARD TRACK! And it's in my old stomping grounds of Cleveland, that bastion of modern and classic culture (I'm serious here - it really is!). I wonder if I could set up some employment there and move back.
And it looks like it'll be in Slavic Village, a fairly low-crime neighborhood. It could take some serious diplomatic relations, but I'd bet we could talk them into letting motorbikers use it now-and-again.

I feel TEMPTATION

Where did you grow up?

I was born in Cleveland, then moved to the burbs (Chagrin Falls) as a kiddy. Then out to the fringes, now I live out in the wilds of south county Ashtabula.

Still, I go back to Cleveland all the time to "absorb the culture". West Side Market, Slymans Deli on St. Clair, R&R Hall of Fame, Casino,(haven't been) "the ride"- Euclid Ave. from the monument to Mentor late night, more restaurants....more more more!!!!!!!!

Still the "Greatest Location in the Nation"!

you KNOW they are never gonna allow motorbikes on that track! lol
Motors will be shunned like the plague!

lol
the roller coaster at Euclid Beach Park was the hugest thing in the world, looking up at it when I was a kid! It was awesome!!! and I was too small to be allowed on it. :-(

They built a velodrome in Winnipeg for the 1967 Summer games . We couldn't wait to get on it with our bikes but were never allowed . You had to be a member of the cycling club to use it . It was rarely used and torn down within 7 years after it was built . No one ever used it because no one ever had permission to use it . We snuck on to it once and were told to leave by a passer-by . We told him where to go and had some fun . It didn't last too long . Cycling on a deeply banked track had to be done at speed . ... D.J.

I hadn't heard of a new velodrome being built in the states since the one in Atlanta for the olympics. Good for Cleveland.

Well, I didn't grow up in Cleveland. But I spent most of my life there. Great orchestra, great museums, great ethnic neighborhoods with different markets. Loved Little Italy, Slavic Village, Asia Plaza, Lorain road with all the Middle-Eastern and Halal markets. All that good stuff. Indy has nothing to compare to all that.
