When i release the clutch i can hear the engine tune up abit, but i dont think its running just compressing. my spark plug isnt on tight. you know how on a car the plug holder has claws to keep it in contact with the spark plug? my little holder doesnt have any claws so i think thats the problem. i dont think the fuel is combusting. i have a skyhawk grubee 66cc

Cut it to the right length you need and you one end to fit like a car one,then screw the cut end in the cdi box.The stock wire will thread out if you twist it off.make sure your plug has the little tip like the car one's

I got a new plug that fits snugger but that didnt help. Oreilys didnt have any cable on hand. I took off the cylinder head and saw alittle fuel on top of the piston and some leaking around the sides. I sealed off the head with high temp gasket maker since I figured some combustion might be escaping out the sides if there was that much fuel there. Im not sure if that will solve the problem i have to wat 12 hours for it to cure.
The first step in trouble shooting is to check if you have spark.
Do you have spark at the plug?

Since you sound like your new to this hobby, based on the number of posts and the way you describe things, I am going to post a couple links to help you properly setup you engine and help you determine what maybe wrong. Take some time and familiarize yourself with the engine and get to know the parts of the engine and the tools necessary to work on the engine. If you try to rush things and stuff happens, and it always does, your going to become frustrated.

iI couldnt figure out the problem and took it to a small engine shop. tThe spark plug that came with the kit wasn't the right kind. He put one on it where the top of the plug had threads that screwed on to secure the plug in. The ignition and kill switch were also shorted. Typical China I guess. Anyway shes running good now, I love all the looks I get going down the street. Big thanks to everyone here trying to help resolve my issue.
