Also If I get those forks I need a new front wheel with disc brake capabilities, and disc brakes for the front. I want a disc wheel set though so I can run a rear sprocket on the disc mounts and use my vbrakes on rear.

So total cost of fork upgrade... Like 200 with wheel set and disc front... Ugh

Here's an alternative. I bought these Puch Moped forks on Ebay for $26 and change including shipping. Also won a chrome moped light bucket and speedo for nearly the same price, They should arrive tomorrow.

Be awesome to take those nice aluminum trees and use the moped sprung fork tubes in them

I bought a set of EBR forks for a Puch Magnum. The steerer tube is about 1 1/8th" so it won't fit the bike I had originally bought them for. I have since bought a whole Puch bearing set, but haven't tried to put it together.
If anyone has done this and knows the combo of bearings/spacers that are to be used, I'd sure like to know.

My old Puch forks have a 1" tube.
I have heard of people splitting the frame tube and spreding it some to fit the 1.125" bearing races then welding it up.
