Hi all!

I'm new to this forum and its really helped me out reading all your posts.

I stumbled upon this 4 stroke after quite a few people telling me 4 strokes are more reliable than 2 strokes.

Can someone tell me any details about this engine?
http://www.t4bmotorsports.com/motorized-bikes/engine-kits/motoized-bike-kit-49cc-4-stroke.html

and if its more realiable than a ZB jet 66? (i already knocked grubee off my list having heard all the horrible things)

I live in Canada, so if anyone knows of any other 4 stroke engines for sale please let me know!

Thank you all!

it's a HS 50 with a cheap nasty gearbox your better off spending the extra money an getting one of these http://www.bicycle-engines.com/49cc-4G-T-Belt-Drive-Complete-Gas-Powered-Engine-Kit.html same "type" of engine but a lot better gearbox

the reason for the "type" is the engine in the link you gave is a short tapered shaft but the engine in the link i gave is a 5/8 shaft meaning the gearbox from a 5/8 gearbox wont work on a tapered shaft engine

Thank you for the speedy reply, really helps with all the details. thats a bit out of my price range. I'm not a serious rider and im just getting into this. Just for a bit of fun.

So far locally im able to find ZB jet and Grubee Skyhawk

ZB: http://www.kijiji.ca/v-mountain-bik...ge/1016660228?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true

Skyhawk: http://www.kijiji.ca/v-other-bike/guelph/80cc-skyhawk-kits/442026869?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true

Is it wise to get the ZB jet? i just want something without too much trouble, and something that i could ride in the rain and in cold weather.

Thanks
Jack

someone else will have to reply who knows 2 strokes i have no idea honestly..........

if i were you i'd keep saving an buy the kit i listed or you could try this http://www.kingsmotorbikes.com/ghost-racer-4-stroke-kit.html?scart_affiliate_id=168

again you'll need to see who else replies as i'm not sure what these kits are like some people have done reviews on them an they seem good though i've seen where 1 or 2 parts have been missing however i've dealt with bicycle-engines.com a few times an they are awesome to deal with..........

good luck either way you go just don't rush an buy something because it's cheap though

I bought the 7G kit in the link and I think it's about the best you can get on a budget. There are mods you can do to improve the clutch bearing and I refuse to use the rag joint rear sprockets in any of these kits but all in all, it's pretty good deal.
