JackShaft Disc Brake HELP!?!

I am making a 79cc motorized bicycle with a predator engine. I plan on using a manual clutch. Would adding a disc brake to the jackshaft be pointless because I can fully disengage the clutch manually? I have never used a disc brake on my jacksaft in any of my builds so I have no know idea how they work lol. Thank You!

I have used them in the past and really dont care for them, braking is too sensitive with them. I have one on a bike that is only used as a 3rd brake to help slow the bike down. Stick with a good front disk, coaster rear should work that way you only have two levers on the bars, I assume you will be using the 3D clutch?

an search posts by scotto(in that link and else where just use the search function) he uses jackshaft brake setups an seems to love them, i know he cuts the discs down in order to make the brake less sensitive/more forgiving.....
