So after springing for a new used fork last night, I stumbled across this beauty!

"Beauty?!" you say. Yes! Beauty!

It's got a V-brake adapter of sorts! Better yet, according to my quick measurements and eye-balling, I can just use the whole threaded fork! Looks to be identical to the Crannie. And for $30 total, I've also got the rest of the bike to use for anything from bearings to chain. A quick little test ride of the pink beast and the front brake works really well. I can figure out a way without welding to attach the rear, I'll run a dual pull. The adapters that used to be sold on danscomp.com had the bosses built in to the adapter very similar to these without attaching to the frame. Not sure it'll work. We shall see.

So for all practical purposes, the bike should be up and running again this weekend as long as the hub adapter fits as it should. It'll be here tomorrow.
