Years ago I thought I heard the hp was around 4.5
Now saw a couple of times it's 2.3?

Horse power is not the best way to rate such little wheezers.
My bike has about 14 GP.

2.3 might be high for some - I've always figured between 1.5 & 2.5

Those 4 plus HP ratings were pure marketing hype used by a few sellers. Some of them are the same ones who promised 200mpg. Most of the reputable ones today are more truthful and will advertise closer to real world. Less than three horsepower is about right for a bone stock Chinese 2 stroke (China Girl).
