Go carefully. That tank aluminum is THIN. And a dremel with sanding wheel with take that weld bead down. What color will you paint after welding?

probably keep the flat black for now if I paint it a different color it wont be until winter. will try the dremel. Thanks

I would attempt to dissuade you from welding. My Twin build had lasted about 5 years or so with no problems. It would save you repainting and possably other dangers. I cannot recommend highly enough Caswells Dragons Blood tank sealer. Works a treat! http://motorbicycling.com/showthread...t=PFFST&page=2
