That looks like a freewheel crank yet more so in the pic where the chain is exposed.
But other things here confuse me.
If the crank is a freewheel I see absolutely no evidence of a braking system.
I don't even see a throttle.
I'd love to own one too.
I bet when these curiosities are answered,one could almost duplicate this thing with a China 2 stroke.
That engine.
What up with that crazy carb?
And where is the exhaust?
Is that container on the frame used to hold oil?
Could it be an oil injection 2 stroke?

Okay I'm seeing it now.
It's a coaster hub the crank has TWO sprockets the engine side freewheels.
Check it out though.
That freewheel is on a SOLID ONE PIECE CRANK.
Still trying to figure out the throttle.
Could it be that on the frame?
It's like they had already figured it all out.

In these older engines. the plug came right out of the jug. Look directly under the front of the tank. See the wire? thats where the plug is/
