Hey guys, I would like to get into the electric bike world. I have a gas powered bike, but its too loud, and not efficient for my needs. I recently purchased a new bike:

And I would like to add a simple electric hybrid drive to it. I see a few kits on Ebay, but those require a battery and become quite pricey. I see this kit on Amazon:

Currie technology. I understand that this replaces the back tire.

And this one:

Clean Republic Hill topper, this I see replaces the front tire.

Which of these is better?

My bike has disk brakes, and the clean republic offers an option for that. I would also love to have a twist throttle (which I understand the hill-topper does not have), and a battery charge gauge.

I'm certain that there are other kits out there as well, so if you guys could please give me some recommendations I would really appreciate that.

My budget is $500.
