I just got my first e-bike kit installed and am so stoked. I bought it with the intentions to use it as a commuter bike for work. This kit is so light weight, I bought it from LEED E-Bikes and I think with the weight and being on my Mountain bike it will totally get me up some of those awful hills that make me want to puke. Now I cannot wait to get out on the trails and use it. Do any of you use your e-bikes in the trails?

It's a 20 mile kit if your interested in what I got.

Any advice is much appreciated

Thanks

That will help a little if you use it sparingly and pedal along.
It's better than no help that's for sure, but don't expect it to be an off-road high power dirt bike like this 48V ~1KW build...

Heck, just the battery was more than your whole kit but again different desires and budget.

Just use your 250W to help you pedal when you really need it and you'll be fine and happy camper ;-}

eek 250w hub drive, that might be ok on flat ground if you are a feather weight, trails though (comment withheld)

my advice is save your money an go with a kit from these guys they are awesome to deal with http://www.sickbikeparts.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=26 around 1000w kit then get a good battery around 48v 25ah you'll have good cruise speed an hill climbing ability.........

either way good luck............

Just an update, I took the 250 watt ebike kit to Moab, Utah on my mountain bike this weekend and it was just what I needed. No one had a clue I was rolling with an e-bike kit. It is so quiet. It is light weight enough it didn't hold me back. LEED e-bike kits is where I got it and the customer service and delivery where really good.

They also have a 500 watt kit I might invest in for another bike.

I'll get some pictures and post soon.

Thanks guys
