Hello, just joined, first post here!

I'm very keen to purchase a sheave (I believe that's the term), that will mount on my bicycle's rear wheel spokes, so that I can attach a belt to it. I want to use it both as a power input and power output as I'm fond of driving things by pedal power.

I notice that this component is available through this website, but it's out of stock, and will cost a lot to ship from US to UK.

So, anyone know where I can pick one up in this country please?

Very glad to find this community, I'm deeply impressed.

Thanks,
Matt

Yes, the term "Sheave" is correct.

They are currently manufactured as parts for a Whizzer type kit. What complicates your search is a contested name. The current production is sold under the name "Cruzzer".

A quick search on E-bay brings up this part:
Cruzzer rear wheel sheave

The seller and manufacturer are located in Taiwan, so shipping to the UK should not be an issue.

Welcome to the site

Hi Brad,

Many thanks for the reply. I hope it will lead me to purpose-made components that will properly fit with one belt type or another, rather than just an adapted wheel rim etc.! Hoping to get the max coupling possible, not just a scrapyard challenge :)
