I ordered a new 4 stroke BB kit today.

What Oil should I use a 10w30 100% synthetic a 10w30 50-50 synthetic blend or just plan 10w30?
What is the best brand of oil do you use?
What is the best grad of gas do you use 87 Regular 89 Mid-grade or
92 Premium?
I do not know if it will matter but just encase ; I live in Dallas Texas in the summer we get Hot we average 100-110 degrees, in winter we do get below freezing but not to often maybe 10-20 time a year. even more rare for it get to below freezing and stay that way all day

Thank for your help Samdallas214

i would go with a full synthetic just because its a better oil and provides more protection especially since it is going to be in a hot location and as far as gas goes i use 92 in my 2 smoker its half a gallon at a time and she sounds happier and seems to have a little more pep

I recommend Red Line synthetic. It has the highest heat rating of all oils. You can get at,

And hey, lets go riding sometime.

I'm not sure about the 4-stroke BB kit, but I generally break my 4-strokes in with either a pure petroleum base or 50/50 pet and synthetic 10w-40 Maxima oil. After a few oil changes (every 10hrs. at first) I go to full synthetic of the same weight and brand.

As far as fuel and octane are concerned, go with what compression your engine is running. 87-91octane pump gas is fine for most any stock 4-stroke engines. If you're running higher compression (say 10-12:1), you may need higher octane for best performance in either 4-stroke or 2-stroke.

87 octane with non synthetic for break in then Mobil 1. Keeps the engine running like brand new

I'd run regular 15w40 or Rotella 15w40 in that. Either way, 15w40 is a heavy duty oil made for hard-working engines.

Regular gas is fine, as mentioned above. The engine you're using does not have high compression, don't need high octane.
