I will ask this question for the second time here, hoping that someone has some input.
Question: Has anyone installed a angle plud (slant) head on one of these china smoke engines that have the 6mm head/jug studs?
I can't see how there would be an issue as long as the 6mm stud engine I have has got a domed piston like the slant head engine I have does, my thoughts are to mill maybe .020 - .025 off the head and then maybe use a thinner gasket...( ? ) to get the compression up a bit for more torque, I dont care about more RPM's, I just want to drop down to a 36T sprocket for a little better cruise speed at the same rpm's I currently turn with my 41T sprocket, my engine is very smooth at 20mph and still very comfortable at 25-26 mph, but I would like it to cruise at 30-32 and be as smooth as it is at the 25-26mph speed.
Has anyone else done this? and if so what was your results.
