I was cruisin' home as usual, all of a sudden- no power. Engine running- throttle responsive, no go. I worked the clutch lever and, no go. Pedaled the last couple of blocks home and put it up. I pulled the clutch cover off and cleaned. Tightned the flower nut. The friction pads look good. Still, no lock-up. HELP!

Loosen the flower nut...
tightening the flower nut causes the clutch to release MORE.

Is the little lock screw still there that holds the flower nit in position?

Maybe woodruff key on chain drive sprocket went bye-bye???
or the clutch hub key?

will it still pedal start? or did it ever, before?

Sry, I have no experience with a centrifugal... is your MAB a HT????

I think I found the prob. The gear on the clutch drum is not one with the drum anymore. I pulled the clutch off, and the gear just fell off of the clutch assy. Looks like a new clutch is in my future if, I can find one. Does anyone have one for cheap?

I have had that problem before. there should be three spot welds on the inside of the drum that attaches the gear to it. Just have someone spot weld it for you.
