I need to take the motor apart a little. I stripped the threads foe the sparkplug. And one of the exhaust is snapped and i need to take it to the shop for repairs. I want to take the top end of the motor off (the top piece and the cylinder). Never done it before and I don't want to screw things up. I just got the bike running great. Also, i put a smaller jet in the carb and it runs great, but now it doesn't idle. Would adjusting the needle help. Haven't tried yet because my bike is out of commission right now. Thanks

Remember the piston rings have pins in the groove to keep them from rotating when you put it back together. If you don't have a slant mounted plug in your head you could order one from Zoom that would be an easy fix. Maybe while it's apart you should think about changing all the studs with higher quality ones. Try getting it to idle with a little choke on. If it will then for sure you need to raise the needle by lowering the clip.
