I don't know the make of the bike, how old it is, theres no markings, go look on my profile at my pictures.

How can I free the forks to get a measurement for springer forks?

Sometimes the aluminum goosenecks will corrode and expand, making it impossible to remove the forks without sawing off the gooseneck or the steertube at the bottom.

For just a measurement of what's there, you can unscrew the big nut and cone nut and pull out the forks some to measure the steer tube dia.

after looking at your bike, i would dump some oil, wd40, or whatever all around the stem so it leaks down into the fork (or flip the bike over and dump oil into the fork from the bottom) and let it sit over night.

if the punch trick i was talking about doesn't work, try standing in front of the bike, hold the front wheel with your knees, and try twisting the bars back and forth as hard as you can.
