Re: resistor plug for 79 predator?
The resistor version of your plug is E5RTC
IMO, you should get an NGK instead. The cross-reference for that is BPR5HS (6222).
According to my research they all have the same reach. The old Greyhound 79 and Pred 99 took the same plug as yours, albeit with different heat ranges.

Re: resistor plug for 79 predator?
I use an NGK iridium plug in my predator 99cc. BPR6HIX is the colder months and the BPR7HIX in the hot months. I'd rather use a BPR5HIX in the colder months but nobody ever seems to have that plug locally or online. If you live in Florida, then I'd opt for the 7 because you live in a sub-tropical state. Sick bike parts sells most of the plugs related to these motors.

I have the same engine, and I'm interested in anything about it. But my understanding is that a resistor plug's advantage is that it produces less radio frequency interference (RFI). Is that why you want one?
