Hey just got an 80cc 2 stroke cheapie.. I've got it all mounted up and had it running for about an hour, went to lube up the primary big and little gears and the big gear is fairly sloppy? Is this right? You can move it back and forth about 1 mm and its got a fair bit of slop sideways too..
It doesn't seem right!

How does one remove the actual clutch cover to see what's happened.. Can you undo the little screw and with the clutch on undo the big center adj nut?

Regards and Thanks for any advice..

Welcome to the forum, you are correct on removing the clutch plate. Its easier to remove if you take out the small screw then lock in the lever and screw off the flower but. Keep track of the turns it takes to get the flower but off for a reference point when you put it back on. There are small ball bearings in the big gear that may be your source of movement, be careful if you take it apart.

It should have some movement, if the nut behind the clutch plate is tight I would just keep checking it from time to time.
