Hello Everyone,
In order to save $$, (I really don't want to buy another bike as I already have a 4 stroker on a Point Beach) I want to convert my 29 inch ONYX Genisis from friction drive to a MP3 if it's possible. But have a 2 questions relating to Golden Motor's drop down ordering menu.

1. Wheel Type - I've read that 700cc is equal to a 29 inch diameter wheel size, but will it take the fat stock tire that the ONYX has?

2. Speed Throttle - I assume that a MP3 only comes with a USB. What is the USB for?

1 i am not sure if 700cc is the same as a 29 inch wheel. as far as fat tires i have schwalbe fat franks on my gm rims and they went on no problem. they are 26x2.35
2. throttle you can get twist or thumb type. the usp is for programing the internal controller.

i am emailing company on the 700cc wheel and see what width they are

also another option is to order the hub and let you bike shop lace it with a good rim that is wide enough for your tires. any double walled rim will work. mike did this for his 29er and barely awake used a different rim for his magic pie 3. i am heading to bed soon and will let you know what magic motor says on their rims if not tonight in the morning,

Now you can see how I ordered the wrong wheel - :)

700C is 29 inch and also 28 inch I guess.

The tricky part is the 28 inch wheel. This is a classic Chinese size and it is ISO 635 whearas a 700C is ISO 622. A "29 inch" tire will not fit a 28 inch wheel because the wheel is too big, not the tire - :)

28 inch tires are all 1.5 inch wide too, not a lot of selection like there is with 700C (ISO622)
