I'm sure there are plenty of links here somewhere on this..

I have snapped two of the standard kit head bolts now with barely any pressure on my Grubee Starfire G4. I seem to remember some vendor here supplying replacement bolts and gear for the sub par soft metal crapola that these kits come with.. Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction?

this stretch cruiser has made me feel like a Harley owner - I spend more time fixing it than riding it!!

Sick bike parts have replacement hardware kits.

But, please, for the sake of reference how many inch pounds were you attempting to torque the head to when the sub par metal crapped out on you?

You were using a reasonably decent and calibrated torque wrench, were you not?

I have yet to break any bolts yet except for 2 motor mount studs intially, but none others....I have 3 motors and the first thing I do it replace EVERY boly, stud, nut and screw I can find with grade 8 or 5 allen head bolts, and nylock nuts or lock washers....
