The current bike I plan on using for my build is just a hair so small and it works if I tilt the carb by just a bit. Would this be okay or do I need a new bike

Looks fine to me as well. I had to remove the filter housing on The Pig and it runs great at a greater angle than your setup.
Ditto: You're good to go. Adjust the float only if you have flooding problems but I don't think you'll have any. Not at that slight angle.
