50 year old semi-retired "leaping gnome" and interested in a new practical "hobby"... that's me.

Got a 26 yr old friend also very interested in wrenching one of these things together... so I already have a ridin' buddy.

Been doing tons of research but still have tons of questions about jackshafts, internal geared hubs, read brake setups, front disc setups... well... I still have a lot to learn for sure.

Welcome to the forum- A good internal hub i read about is a NuVinci hub. It's continuously variable, and seems to be very tuff, by what iv'e heard people say. Also- there's a shift kit(so you can drive your bike's shift system with the engine) or an expansion pipe(adds a lot of power) that you might want to add to your bike. From sickbikeparts.com
