Hello all i just got back into riding my gary fisher marlin and well i'm lazy so go with a motor i say. any way originally bought the bike to commute but moved to far away from work now i might use it as a fun weekend thing.

Welcome to the forum. I was able to commute to work on my motorbike for about a year until my company moved me out of state.
I still use it for errands and sometimes take 30 minute rides to unwind.
