That shoebox's proportions are perfect. Here in the UK we constantly had to put up with squished/shortened/disproportioned versions of US car designs. Our equivalent '50's Ford Zephyr/Zodiac/Consul range perfectly illustrates this practice. There were countless others. None looked as good as their US inspirations.
Thanks Pete, I have had a lot of people complement on restoring a four door, several have said four door cars are hard to find. The first car show we took it to I won most original restore, this was voted on by all the other car owners at the show, that let me know we did a pretty good job.

Norm I was making fun of the guys like me that need glasses to check the fuel level, unless it’s shatter proof it would be dangerous.
I hope that’s a joke as I took it, but as the old saying goes, there’s always one in the crowd that will try it.
You know truck nuts? Sorry, ladies. I saw my first bicycle balls today. They were these 2 plastic balls on a string swinging below the seat of a road bike. Never seen that.
