My Ezm with Maxtorque clutch isn't as grabby as it use to be. It's almost 5 years old and has around 2000 miles on it. I've noticed that it really struggles going up hills these days. It has a brand new 49cc HS on it, as my last one bit the dust.

It can barely get up hills that it had no problem with when it was newer, and the clutch slips more as I get further up the hill. I have a 56 tooth rear sprocket. By the time I'm close to the top, the clutch is almost fully disengaged and I'm going about 5 mph or less. Sometimes it can't make it up the hill to my house without peddling, and other days it just barely makes it up.

Could this be a sign of a worn out clutch? It's not the motor because it's new, and didn't really improve much when I put the new motor on. I thought these clutches lasted way longer and many more miles, but I don't know what else it would be that's making it so hard to climb hills. The bike hauls on flat ground, just can't hill climb like it use to.
