anyone use the x port exhaust headers?

is the so-called "header effect" of lowering the power band actually noticeable in the real world?

or is it a "boost bottle" and "racing carb" kind of thing.
im running a factory exhaust, if that matters.

as always, much appreciated.

Definitely! I got a SBP expansion chamber pipe and immediately noticed a huge increase in performance. I'm using a pretty long header (about 16"-17") and my low end is great. I'm up to 25mph in about 2 seconds now.

several of the sponsors here sell these, and make some pretty big claims... and no one has ever even heard of them?

i'll take that as a bad sign...

I have seen them previously. Theoretically it should work. You want the exhaust going in the straightest path you can before any curves. Brown has one on his bike. I like it, but wouldn't spend the money on it.
