Hello everyone.. Just got a quick question..

The SBP website has 2 air filters for sale..

1) Air Filter - Heavy Duty - High Performance $17.95

2) Air Filter - Standard $12.95

Can anyone tell me the difference between these 2 filters?

And which i should get for my 80cc 2 stroke china engine

Thanks..

I can't because I haven't tried either, but I saw the ad and was wondering about it-

If the air cleaner is "heavy duty", does that the mean the filter element is thicker?

then is the "standard" not as beefed up a filter?

I've drilled some holes in the back of the plastic air filter case to let more air IN, and it appears the "racing carb air cleaner" may be actually more minimal than the kit stock ones.

So I wonder if a "heavy duty" filter would just cost more money and then block more air, and not let the motor breathe as easily.

There is not much difference between the two to be honest. The HD one is custom made for us and the filter material is different and cleanable. It also comes pre-oiled. The standard one in not pre-oiled, not that oiling is required and it is slightly longer by about 1/4 inch. There is a difference in cost to us so there is a difference in cost to the consumer. I have used both and there is no performance difference, it is just that the HD one is a nicer slightly higher quality filter.
