Hey I got my motor the shifter should be here tomarrow anyone got any ideas on how to mount the new motor on the front fork?

Note: not willing to disable my brakes, I prefer front wheel friction drive that way I can get her started with the stock bicycle setup.

I was thinking something on the line of attatching it to the front wheel bolts and let it dangle onto the front wheel with the addition of some type of tension based device to keep it forced onto the wheel.

Update December 16th. The gwntial giant as a prototype, still waiting to getsome hard wear but here's a stable braced bracket.

Til I come across some steel/iron cast metal this rig is in progress as for clamps too. Search my forums and you Wil find a video clip http://i1293.photobucket.com/albums...s2013/Mobile Uploads/IMAG0150_zps39ec700e.jpg

The Chinese Velosolex clone kit clamped to the fork using split clamps maybe you could do similar. You could also place a mounting point under the front brake anchor bolt. Here a pic(second one) of the clones mounting. http://motorbicycling.com/showpost.php?p=256069&postcount=2

I found something simular at Lowe's this morning a little fortune cookie told me to finish the project this week..... Update I found that the idea won't work due to lack of mounting space at the motor so back to sheet steel.
