I can't get my motor to idle. Its like the slide is stuck open about half way. playing with the little screw on the side dose absolutely nothing, all the in and all the way out, zero! Isn't that supposed to be an idle adjustment? I think I'm going to have to cut about an inch off of the outside sleeve around the cable in order to gain enough length so the slide can go all the way to the bottom of the carburetor barrel. Anyone have another suggestion I sure would like to hear it.

where the cable goes into the throttle there are a bunch of metal fittings, make sure they are all in the right position and are tightened all the way down, this will give you the most slack in the cable.

The carb slider can only go into the carb body ONE WAY! there's a little pin inside the carb that fits into the slot on the slider to keep it straight.
Also, don't use a wrench to tighten the top of the carb; you will warp the carb body & cause the slider to stick!
