It started raining yesterday and decided a good time to switch the motor from old bike to new......

Old bike.....

Served its purpose, but a MB is not a comfortable bike to cruise around and put lots of miles on....(80-100 miles per week)

New bike....

Only bad thing is I cannot use my expansion chamber till I get a welder to modify it...

Running w/ the stock exhaust what a difference, and not in a good way.... Boggy at low end and not near throttle response.....

Love the riding position of the new bike...

Welder coming or new pipe coming....

I pull a trailer for my work supplies so the extra oomph is needed....

Re: Made the switch from MB to laid back cruiser

I disagree about MTBs not being suitable for long rides. I put over 30K miles on a pedal MTB back in the day, and I found it comfortable enough for 100-200 miles a week. My second motorized build was a MTB and it was very comfortable and nimble compared to most cruisers I've ridden. The key thing is the right seat, seat angle, and handlebar height/angle. With a little bit of work, you could have made your MTB comfortable, I think. But everybody is built a little different and we all have our preferences.

Anyway, nice workhorses you got there! :D
