I must have missed the memo, but they appear to be back. Their website no longer says the thing it used to say about having no manufacturer or something. but things are still not stocked entirely yet

EDIT: NVM I thought that notice was on the main page. I looked again and it's the same, but on the engines page. My bad....

I ordered a gasket set a month ago and still haven't received it. I paid thru paypal and the resolution department refunded my account. I went on the website Moriniusa yesterday and this is what I found:
~Important Morini News ~
The Morini engine and parts factory has been recently sold to another company. Please understand until this transfer is finalized spare parts and replacement engines are very difficult to receive.Customers looking for complete replacement engines can refer to

the dax engine is a ktm clone, but its comparable to a morini from what I know. pirate cycles also sells morini engines, but i dont know what other morini parts they sell. there is another vendor who sells ktm clones, but i cant remember where.

dax's come with a carb. pipe is extra. and he's a member. he only sells the air cooled motor. if you just gotta have a morini check creigs list for lem 50cc mx'ers but be warned they have everything from 2hp s5's to 11hp s6c's and they come with the extras carb coil, throttle, pipe, motor mounts ect. BUT if cant get parts your SOL. i'd look into the dax motor myself and if i cant work out the bug's on my gs-s5 i'll be giving dax a call. i did buy some parts from denardis and after a month of voice mail full and e-mail no replys i finally got my parts. jeff at C.C.C. has a boxxer for sale ready to go you might look into that. goat herder, easy rider love theirs. good luck dennis

The biggest reason I wouldn't want to go with a morini is because the supplies are so limited. Thatsdax's looks more appealing for the reason that it's possible to get stuff for it. But it's not a morini and not many members here know much about it. Which makes it hard to invest in.

That's so true Dennis. If we ever have a Motard event for our MBs, I'm pretty sure I'll be the top dog to beat! LOL The Boxers are balanced and handles jumps well.

The morini usa site still has parts availability, although the good parts are not in stock, such as gasket sets. I just ordered a new digital timing computer, and got it within a week. There are other vendors though. Ive done business with a morini specialist in illinois. His name is Bob, from Bobs lem cycles. Google Bobs Lem cycles, and give him a call. He can give u pretty much any part you need. I just purchased two crank halve gaskets and a set of oil seals and crank bearings. He also does engine mods as well.

Thanks for the info. I'll be calling him on Monday. I really need to replace my base and rubber head gasket. Hopefully he'll have a set available. The thing I like about his shop is he also sells Tomar Clutch parts!

I have not cracked any of my S6C motors open yet so dunno what the gasket surface area looks like to me for considering this but will no doubt prolly find something that will work! I have got to say there is a Gasket maker type stuff that has been out for years now. One of the best one I ever came across was called The Right Stuff.

Might get a formulation that has copper added to it..

Might read through this PDF and see what the stats are? http://www.permatex.com/documents/PX-0098B.RightStuffBrochure.pdf

I changed my rings during the winter and my base gasket leaks a little bit. I don't want to take it aprt until I get a new gasket for it also the head gasket is an orange rubber gasket that was pretty flatten after the 2nd go around. I'll probably use a sealant when I change it next time.
Thanks for the recommendation for the sealant Goat. I'll try it out.

He will definitely have what you are looking for. He works on lem cycles from all actoss the country. Very nice guy too. I mailed him my s6c to perfect it a while ago, and had him install the tomar holeshot series. Much better clutch than the standard 3 shoe. If you are on pacific time then give him a calk around 3 to 4. He works during the day. If he doesnt answer than leave a voicemail and he will for sure get back to you.
