so on the site i ordered my kit from and other sites i considered, theirs pretty much 2 types of every engine the standard one i suppose we should call it, and the slant head.

does one offer more power? or does one fit into smaller frames easier?

any help would be appreciated even though i already ordered mine (it should arrive tomorrow :D)brnot

The slant head offers more frame clearance coincidently has a higher compression head as well. I had good luck with my Slant head there are mixed reviews. I got more power from mine. Others will pipe in shortly..
Here is a good amount of reading for ya.... it is so controversial now days. It is difficult for me to even put it into words.

From what I've read, the slant head is supposed to be the newer model with more power. I practice it would seem the difference is so little that manufacturing variances between one motor and the next more than compensate for any extra power.

The main reason for the slant head design was to allow it to fit in frames with tight overhead clearance.
