I never see shift kits on stretch cruisers.I was wanting my next
build to be a stretch cruiser with a 7 speed with a slick shifter.

Can it even be done? As you can see, I don't have a clue on these
bikes or shifter kits.I know the stretch cruisers have a very long
peddle chain, & might be why.Your thoughts please?

Do you mean a 7 speed hub or sprocket? Eather one you could adapt a spring loaded tensioner off a ten speed to keep the chain tight..............Curt

I am building one right now, well it's actually a 5 speed cassette. Homebuilt nothing fancy stretch. Gearing the 49cc pocket bike engine to turn the crank in the 60-120RPM range.

That's great to hear.I have looked & looked & can't seem to find any.Even
when I look at all the stretch cruiser bicycle ads no one seems to sell them.

My build is going to be a scratch build & a used donor bike. But I thought I better
see if it has even been done before I just jumped in on this.
