Whizzer thumb decompression lever grip ???

I am trying to figure out this decompression lever.. I can't find any info on it online. I know it needs the spring loaded decompression release. But it seems like the standard wire doesn't want to work in the handle end. Is there a different wire or am I missing something?

Hey Chainmaker,

Sorry, I don't know about Whizzers, but I'm thinking msrfan will look at this soon and have the answer in great detail. Either him or mason man seem like highly knowledgeable gents in the whizzer field.

I just use solid wire on the lever type controls, and stranded cable on the others.

I just put the compression release lever & cable on my Pacemaker & it works perfect.

It didn't seem like it had enough pull on mine. I will try it on the other bike when I get to putting it back together..in other news I am going to be starting the bike for the first time today and hopefully taking it out for it's shakedown ride! Can't wait to get out of work.
