i thought a pacific capeland would make a nice bike four my 4 stroke, but after installing the mounting plate as low as i could (1/4" just above crank sprocket) theres nooo way its going in.
i didnt count the teeth on crank sprocket, but i think its a 44tooth. i'm thinking the only way to do this without frame mods is to use a smaller crank sprocket. how small do they go? 25 tooth or so? should make a big diff in size. i need to lower the mounting plate at least another 2"
ideas?

I am using a 36 on the stretch,,,they are really cheap... like 10$

you might wanna pic up a kiddie bike from goodwill or something, then you can use the shorter crank arms as well ;)

I've used a 25T before. They are very small and fairly common. If you search for a BMX sprocket you should be able to find one. The one pictured is a 25.

antlers, ok.
some mountain bikes gave a removable front gear that can be used. thats what I use on my builds. It lets the engine sit lower and is lots easier to crank.
