Most days I review google web news presentations for a few minutes each morning. Certain things catch my attention.

Subject matter of this forum is strongly affected by affairs of China and the business section article did not have a lot of information I could understand.

The clip is from today's BBC News article.

"China loosens currency controls on the yuan

Beijing has given indications that it is willing to loosen its grip slightly on the yuan.

China has loosened its currency controls in a move that may spur gains in the value of the yuan.

From Monday, the yuan can fluctuate up to 1% in trading against the US dollar, up from the previous limit of 0.5%, the People's Bank of China said.

The increase of the trading band was announced in English, a rare statement that suggests it was targeted at foreign audiences."

I went over to an economic discussion site to see what their opinion was of the announcement, and what effect it might have on us, here in the US.

There was nothing regarding the Chineese announcement, yet, so I read a write-up on the situation in Greece. It's grim.

Included within that article was a YouTube link to a Joe Banister interview.
That's when it dawned upon me this was US federal tax day.

The Joe Banister fellow certainly seems to be a sincere, educated, stable, and forthwith fellow.

Here's the link to his interview. It's about an hour long.

It's an American tradition.

So I thought I'd toss this out on the table, here in the Tavern.
