The Q Matic gearbox is nothing new. There have been many designs
that have pre dated the Q Matic if you know any motorized bike history.

For instance take a look at one of the bikes on our recent ride.
One of msrfan's builds on our 30 mile El Dorado park ride.

Do you see an idler, KilroyCD?

Do you see a superior design to a q matic?
Of course the answer is yes
You have a pulley driving another pulley through a V belt
then a centrifugal clutch like a Max Torque behind the rear
pulley driving another belt to the rear wheel [ could be a chain ]

msrfan made this bike and others way before EZ Motorbike ever existed.

The main difference is that there is no backing plate on this superior
design to a Q Matic. Also no idler to rob power.

KilroyCD, I got way more facts than you about 4 strokes....play your mod
games for your EZM boss.......go back to school...

PS: My buddy Chris's bike, 50 cc Honda with the # 1 production Q Matic was running
40 mph at the ride with my stainless steel flex that was longer than what Quenton
says and had a $8 Briggs lawnmower muffler on it
. He was right up there with the 3 fastest 2 strokes.

It was also faster than the Felt Q Matic by Flex Man with EZ motorbike special "patina" flex and tip
How do you like that, KilroyCD?
BiMoPed, you need not belittle me for asking an honest question (which it was). I'll be the first to admit that I'm always learning when it comes to motorized bikes. What you did show here is a system that is very similar to that of the Whizzer, a tried and true system that I also like.

Thanks EZM Team for answering my question! I have the CC HS right now with a gear box, will start my build with that, but I want to switch to the HS with EZM soon for easier parts replacement and longer life compared to the other options for a trans. After seeing how much milage AZBill has put on his engine also towing a trailer n 2 Cute Grandkids, I am confident the EZM will be an efficient long range component in my bike as I plan on using it to travel across country. L8R, Tipsy!
